Consistent with other lines of business in the construction market, the first half of 2023 was largely as predicted at the start of the year. Underwriting appetite steadily increased and rates continued to plateau. The end of the first half, traditionally a busy renewal period in the construction PI market, saw accelerated improvement with a number of buyers enjoying rate reductions.
